Just recently learned about the paperless day drive on Earth Day. 1500 teachers from around the world are teaching students without the use of extra paper. I bet there have been some creative approaches to learning today. great job to all those teachers.
Here is a link provided by Dean Mantz of Mantz's Mission to a great resource of digital ideas and tools that teachers can adopt in the classroom. There is also a podcast from the founder of paperless day Steve Katz and by Elaine Plybon from Discovery Education Network about the challenges and rewards of going digital. The main take away I got was that both teachers and students are excited about learning. We need new models for teaching because students are wired so differently now.
